Based on your budget, it is important to understand all you option in the different types of roofing systems. Each roofing system comes up with different pricing structures as well as has its own benefits and drawbacks.

However, no matter which roofing system you want for your home, it ensures safety and protection. Basically, roofing systems are classified based on the material that is used in the formation and installation of the roof. For example, some roofs are made up of composite material while others may consist of rubber, asphalt, or cement.

Today in this article we will discuss different types of roofing systems, so you can choose the one that is more accessible and suitable for you.

  1. Asphalt roof shingles

If we look at the composition of asphalt shingles, we come to know that they are made up of mineral granules plus asphalt as well as fiberglass. They are inexpensive, colorful, and stylish and require very little maintenance.

If you are living in a hot and humid area, you should not consider the installation of asphalt shingles, because they are not resistant to heat and ultraviolet radiation.

Slate roofing systems

As the name indicates, an abundant amount of slate is used in the formation of the shingles. It is an aesthetically pleasing and expensive option that requires deep skill and expertise for its installation.

The best part about slate roofing systems is that they can bear extra weight and can last up to 10 decades.

Clay tile roofing systems

A clay tile roofing system is also a very heavy option. The size of clay tiles is even considerably greater than the slates. They are available in a wide variety of colors, sizes, shapes, and styles.

Flat clay tile roofing systems are common in the US, while rounded tiles are frequently used in European cities.

Solar tile roofing systems

The incorporation of a solar system in your roofs gives rise to a solar tile roofing system. It is a smart way of using solar panels naturally for energy production purposes. so instead of attaching your solar panels above the roofing system, you can easily make them part of your roof.

It is a better solution as compared to the traditional attachment of solar panels. However, a drawback of this system is that it requires detailed wiring during installation.

Designer laminated architectural shingles

These are the luxury, highly-designed shingles and fall under the category of architectural shingles. So it means if you want the premium quality of architectural shingles, you can simply ask the sellers to provide you with designer architectural laminated shingles.

This premium collection most closely resembles wooden shades. It provides a smaller range of color blends because of high precision and accuracy. This is the most attractive, advanced, and eye-catching type of architectural shingles.
